Toni Wood
Director
Throughout my entire professional career, I have dedicated myself to working with vulnerable children.
This experience has provided me with the essential knowledge to ensure that the children, whom we all have a duty to protect, are always treated with dignity and respect.
For the past eight years, I have directly supported children in residential care. As a care manager for a residential school, I managed multiple children's residential homes. In this role, I have collaborated closely with care inspectors and local authorities to consistently ensure the highest standards of care for children. The sector-leading grades I received reflect the high-quality care delivered by my teams.
Recently, I have taken on a management position within secure care. The knowledge and experience I have gained in this role have deepened my understanding of those whose liberty
has been restricted, whether this has been through risk to themselves or if this has been via risk from another.
The Care and Justice Bill, which came into effect in September 2024,
has also broadened my understanding and awareness of children involved in the youth justice systems.
Throughout my career, I've had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of children, each presenting different levels of risk. This extensive and diverse experience has greatly enriched my knowledge, allowing me to enhance the quality of care I provide.
By understanding the unique challenges and needs of each individual, I believe I can provide safe and compassionate care to all children under my responsibility.

Hi Im Megan.
With over six years of experience working in secure care settings, I am a passionate and empathetic Youth Care Practitioner dedicated to supporting vulnerable children through some of the most challenging moments in their lives. My practice has been shaped by the young people who have trusted me to walk alongside them, each one teaching me something. Since joining ScotSafe Transport at its launch in September 2025, Ive been proud to help deliver trauma-informed transport for children. For me, the decision to join ScotSafe was simple, it aligned perfectly with my belief that every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and valued, no matter how brief our time together may be. I strive to be a trusted adult in the lives of young people, someone who reminds them that they matter. I believe that even a car journey can be a powerful space for connection, reassurance, and healing.
I like to be planned and organised
I am the practical joker
I can admit, I tell the worst jokes
